Welcome to the ROC!
Todd has been in the fitness industry for over 25 years. Currently, Todd has multiple certifications in fitness including, but not limited to, CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit Kids, CrossFit Mobility, and CrossFit Olympic Lifting. He has worked with everyone from pro athletes and celebrities to children and senior citizens.
In 2005, Todd took over ownership of Rezults Downtown Fitness in Cleveland, where he successfully ran the business until 2016, when he decided to close the doors after the building his gym occupied was sold. Todd also opened, owned, and operated one of Northeast Ohio’s first CrossFit gyms, NEO, from 2012-2014.
At the height of his professional career, and when he was in his peak physical condition, Todd experienced a slew of personal hits and losses that caused him to withdraw from the fitness industry completely. Todd found himself spending his spare time drinking and putting on excess weight, and he stopped working out altogether. In December 2017, at the age of 43, Todd suffered a stroke that left him shaken, but not broken. He continued down an undesirable path.
In May of 2018, just a month-and-a-half after turning 44, Todd had a second stroke that kept him in the hospital for over two weeks. While in the hospital, Todd experienced a third stroke. Doctors told Todd that his fitness level up to the point where he had stopped training was probably what saved his life.
Unable to sit up independently on the side of the bed after his second stroke, Todd decided it was time to take his future into his own hands and welcome fitness and good health back into his life. Todd is now back in the gym, training, and working to gain back his health and fitness.
An avid golfer, Todd lost his ability to efficiently swing a club following his strokes. He has been able to rehab himself through his workouts, and he has experienced increased swing speed and hitting distance. Although not back to his prior level, Todd’s goal is to once again have a 3 handicap.
Todd’s favorite message to share from one of his mentors is, “Life happens for you, not to you.” It is his hope to take his experiences, both good and bad, to transform his life and the lives of others for the best.
